Abstract

The primary purpose of this research was to investigate the relationship between ownership structure, information asymmetry and liquidity in firms listed in the Tehran Stock Exchange. The study was a correlational research with methodology of the post-event survey; and the statistical population of the research consisted of the companies listed in the Tehran Stock Exchange during the period from 2008 to 2014. The results revealed that there is a significant relationship between institutional ownership, pension fund ownership and bank and insurance ownership, and liquidity in listed companies in the Tehran Stock Exchange. As well as, there is a significant relationship between institutional ownership, pension fund ownership and bank and insurance ownership, and information asymmetry in the companies listed in the Tehran Stock Exchange.
