Data collection tools included a researcher-made questionnaire to determine the reading level and data obtained from it were analyzed using SPSS, version 22, software. The results of statistical tests of independent t-test showed that there was a significant difference between academic achievement scores of mathematics and science of students who had received reading trainings and those who had not received them, Moreover, the results indicated that the effect of gender was significant in this relation regarding mathematic lesson and it was insignificant regarding science lesson.
